Havells India Limited has successfully resolved its ongoing disputes with the HPL Group, culminating in a Settlement Agreement signed on November 8, 2025. This agreement addresses all pending litigations regarding the use of the 'HAVELLS' trademark, which had been the subject of various court cases, including those in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. Under the terms of the settlement, the HPL Group has acknowledged Havells India's exclusive rights to the trademark since 1971 and has agreed to cease any claims or challenges related to the 'HAVELLS' mark. Furthermore, HPL Group will rebrand its entities to eliminate the use of 'HAVELLS' in their names.

As part of the settlement, Havells India will make a one-time payment of Rs. 129.60 crores to the HPL Group. This resolution not only brings closure to the legal disputes but also strengthens Havells India's brand integrity moving forward. With this agreement, both parties can now focus on their respective business strategies without the burden of ongoing litigation. The settlement marks a significant step for Havells India as it reinforces its position in the market, ensuring the protection of its established brand identity.
