Gayatri Projects Limited has reported a significant loss of ₹97.2 crore for the fiscal year 2022-2023, as disclosed in their audited financial results approved by the Board of Directors on November 4, 2025. The company's total income for the year was approximately ₹1,865.63 crore, with expenses amounting to about ₹1,962.83 crore, leading to a pre-tax loss of ₹142.61 crore. The financial statements also indicate a decrease in revenue from operations compared to the previous fiscal year, highlighting a challenging operational environment for the construction firm.

The loss is partly attributed to ongoing financial difficulties, as the company underwent a Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) initiated on November 15, 2022. During this period, the company’s management was handed over to an Interim Resolution Professional appointed by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). In a significant turnaround, the resolution process concluded with a One-Time Settlement (OTS) proposal accepted by 97.20% of the creditors, allowing the company to transition back to its management on September 16, 2025. As of October 28, 2025, Gayatri Projects had already settled ₹215.74 crore of its OTS obligations.

Despite the financial setbacks, the management remains optimistic about the future. They are set to recover funds through arbitration claims and expect improved performance from their investments in associate companies. Notably, the firm has significant stakes in Gayatri Hi-tech Hotels Limited and Gayatri Highways Limited, which, despite facing challenges, are projected to recover. The company aims to navigate these turbulent waters and stabilize its operations moving forward, with a keen eye on enhancing cash flow and managing outstanding debts.
