CCL Products (India) Limited has announced its acquisition of a 26% stake in Mukkonda Renewables Private Limited for ₹12.12 crore (approximately $1.46 million). This investment is structured as a joint acquisition, with CCL Products acquiring 20.54% and its wholly-owned subsidiary, CCL Food and Beverages Private Limited, acquiring 5.46%. The deal was approved by the Board of Directors in a recent meeting and is part of CCL's strategy to enhance its renewable energy capabilities, allowing access to a total of 10 MW of renewable energy generation from the new venture.

Mukkonda Renewables, incorporated on July 18, 2025, focuses on power generation through non-conventional energy sources. Although the company has no turnover to report yet due to its recent establishment, the acquisition will enable CCL Products and its subsidiary to utilize 7.9 MW and 2.1 MW of renewable wind and solar energy, respectively. This investment is expected to lead to reduced energy costs, increased energy security, and improved operational stability for the CCL group, while also offering potential environmental benefits.

The completion of the acquisition is anticipated to occur in three stages, with the first stage expected to be fulfilled within 10 days following the execution of necessary agreements. CCL Products has stated that no regulatory approvals are required for this acquisition. As this stake in Mukkonda Renewables becomes effective, it will transition the company into an associate entity of CCL Products, marking a strategic step towards the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
