Bigbloc Construction Limited, one of India’s largest manufacturers of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) blocks and panels, reported a significant 30.3% year-on-year revenue growth for Q2 FY26, reaching Rs. 673 million. The results, announced on 8th November 2025, indicate a robust demand recovery in the construction sector, with sales volume increasing by 43.7% year-on-year to 198,555 cubic meters (CBM). This growth comes despite challenges posed by an extended monsoon season, which initially slowed construction activities. However, demand picked up momentum towards the end of the quarter, bolstering the company’s financial performance.

In Q2 FY26, Bigbloc's EBITDA stood at Rs. 19 million, reflecting a margin of 2.8%, which marks an improvement from the previous quarter's 2.3%. The company has successfully navigated operational challenges with a consolidated capacity utilization rate of 62% for the quarter, up from 53% in Q1 FY26. Furthermore, for the first half of FY26, the company reported a total revenue of Rs. 1,237 million, representing a 19.8% increase compared to the same period last year. This performance underscores Bigbloc's strategic focus on ramping up production and optimizing operational efficiency.

Looking ahead, the outlook remains positive for Bigbloc and the broader building materials sector, supported by ongoing government initiatives in infrastructure and affordable housing. With the monsoon season concluded, the company anticipates higher utilization rates and improved operational performance in the upcoming quarters. The commissioning of a new construction chemicals facility in the second half of FY26 is expected to further diversify the company’s product offerings and strengthen its market position. Bigbloc continues to leverage its commitment to sustainability and innovation, ensuring it remains a leading player in the green building materials sector.
