ABB India Limited has reported a 14% increase in revenue for the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 CY2025), reaching INR 3,311 crore, compared to INR 2,912 crore in the same quarter last year. The growth was primarily driven by focused execution of backlog from base orders, with base orders up 13% year-on-year. Despite an overall decline in total orders by 3% due to the timing of large orders, ABB India maintained a robust order backlog of INR 9,895 crore, indicating strong revenue visibility for the upcoming quarters. The company’s profit before tax stood at INR 542 crore, reflecting challenges from rising material costs and market dynamics post-COVID.

Sanjeev Sharma, the Managing Director of ABB India, expressed optimism about the company's performance, emphasizing the importance of their diverse portfolio that caters to 23 market segments. He noted that while the market has been cautious, ABB India is well-positioned to leverage growth opportunities arising from domestic market trends and regulatory easings amid global volatility. The company's sustainability efforts also remain on track, achieving a remarkable 87.05% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to a 2019 baseline, and all Motion factories have been certified as zero waste to landfill.

Looking ahead, ABB India is focused on capitalizing on a resilient macroeconomic environment and strong government-led industrial initiatives. Factors such as easing inflation, GST rationalization, and sustained public capital expenditure, particularly in infrastructure and green energy, are expected to drive demand recovery. The company is also making strides in energy-efficient technologies and AI-driven automation, which positions it favorably despite global trade uncertainties. With a solid localization strategy and a healthy order pipeline, ABB India is poised to drive sustainable growth in India's evolving industrial landscape, reaffirming its commitment to electrification and automation.
